The Parents’ Association: Our Close-knit Parent Community
Our Parents' Association (PA) plays a vital role in the life of the school. The PA undertakes events and activities, which fosters the mission of West End Day School and provides support for various school activities. Our close-knit parent community has meetings and parent mingles throughout the year.
On top of community events, parents have created Fresh Fruit Tuesday, a gardening committee, and even rally together to teach our students about philanthropy on Giving Tuesday. Whether taking on big or small volunteer activities, our PA is a wonderful way for parents to be involved in the school.
Our PA throws an unBOOlievable event every Halloween with all of our favorites- pumpkin decorating, crafts, face painting, games, and trick-or-treating!
Community Thankfulness Event
Every year we choose an initiative to support and give back to in a fun way, most importantly as a community.
PA Book Fair
Every Spring, our PA holds a book Fair on I Love to Read Day. Students and their parents can purchase new books for home or their child's classroom.
Year End Picnic
At the end of the year, WEDS invites parents to join us for Field Day. After some fun games, our PA hosts a picnic for all of our families.
Our PA-led garden committee helped us celebrate Earth Day organizing a special activity for our students.
