April is Arab American Heritage Month and students and faculty honored and celebrated Arab American Heritage through a variety of lessons and activities. Lessons included the history and facts about Arab Nations and the important work of Pakistani female education activist Malala Yousafzai. Our younger classes read the books The Kindest Red and The Proudest Blue by Olympic medalist and social justice advocate Ibtihaj Muhhamad, telling the story of Hijab, family, and friendship.
