Celebrating Pride month is an exciting time here at WEDS. To kick-off the month, our Student Council organized a school-wide Pride Celebration on our Rooftop! Festive music, arts & crafts, rainbow desserts, and a multitude of Pride accessories set the scene as students from every class took part in the festivities. Our students also took time to reflect upon what Pride means to them, which then came to life in a school art piece now displayed in our Main Lobby!
Throughout the rest of the month, our students will continue to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community and ways in which we can advocate for this community. At WEDS, we are a place where everyone belongs and we are so proud of our Student Council for leading this Pride Celebration and being such amazing role models for our younger students!
