Friday, March 31st was International Transgender Day of Visibility, an annual day of trans rights awareness acknowledged around the world.
Staff, students, and community members celebrated and raised awareness by wearing bracelets representing trans pride colors and the transgender flag was displayed in our lobby to further provide a sense of belonging when you walk through our doors.
Our students read publications by trans authors and read books that center trans characters, while also taking part in discussions to further our knowledge and understanding of the trans community.
WEDS believes transgender people deserve love, dignity, and respect!
